I wanted to share how I made two bags of the Bird's Eye Voila Three Cheese Chicken Dinners feed my family of five! When I first opened both bags I knew I had to be creative to do something because it was not enough to feed us all.
I took about some Velveeta Cheese I don't know exactly how much maybe about 1 inch cut off the block. Then a whole bag of Birds Eye Broccoli and I added it to The Volia Chicken Dinner.
I then just followed the directions on the package. It made enough and was really great! My children loved it. It saved money because these dinners are high priced.
Below is a picture of the finished product!
My girls had a idea for next time saying we should have added more corn, maybe even some califlower! They sure are creative!

Great idea! I just posted a blog Saturday about adding stuff to Hamburger Helper to stretch it further. I never thought about adding to the Voila meals, but I should because you are right, they sure don't have much inside those bags! Thanks for the post, I enjoy your site : )
Julie, this looks really good! You are right... adding to these types of packaged meals really helps to stretch our budget dollars... and it is a bonus when our family enjoys the meal! Your girls are cute! Thanks for sharing your meal idea... take care! ~terry
